Competitor Pricing & Revenue Models

Sportstaettenrechner/sportsvenuecalculator

Model: Calculator-first lead-gen + supplier directory + content partnerships. Founded August 2016, Cologne (Jan Prümper). Scale: 90+ cost calculators, 140+ knowledge articles, 40,000+ project starters served (DE). English site (sportsvenuecalculator.com) launched mid-2021, ~38-40K monthly visitors.

Platform Tier Price What you get
sportsvenuecalculator.com Premium Listing $500/yr Directory listing, logo, backlink
Marketing Booster $14,800/yr + 6 content pieces/yr (video, blog, social), news publishing
Unfair Advantage from $24,000/yr + Lead forwarding (1,000+ monthly project owner requests)
sportstaettenrechner.de Basic €600/yr Directory listing, logo, short text, backlink
Business €1,400/yr + Featured listing, all categories, editorial articles
Premium On request + Lead forwarding, direct client contact

Related properties: event-rechner.de (event calculators), sportstaetten-finanzierung.de (crowdfunding/donation software), sportnetzwerk-fsb.de (FSB trade fair networking).

pSEO structure:

  • Calculators (/kostenrechner/): 4 mega-categories (Sportplatzrechner, Sporthallenrechner, Freiraumrechner, Eventrechner), 90+ sub-calculators including padel
  • Knowledge base (/wissen/): 140+ articles in hub+spoke clusters. Padel cluster alone has 10+ articles covering every keyword variant ("padel court bauen kosten", "padel court kaufen", "was kostet ein padelplatz", dimensions, maintenance, providers, financing, advantages for tennis clubs)
  • Supplier directory (/anbieter/): basic WordPress plugin (DE); separate subdomain for EN site (directory.sportsvenuecalculator.com) with location-based pSEO pages: /{service}-companies-in-{state}/, /{city}-{service}-companies/
  • Sponsored content: root-level blog slugs mixing editorial with partner interviews (e.g. artec padel courts)

Calculator-to-lead funnel:

SEO article ("Was kostet ein Padel Court?")
→ Embedded calculator or CTA to calculator
→ User inputs project specs (2-5 min, free, no registration)
→ Cost estimate with line items
        → "Angebotsservice" CTA (quote service)
→ Contact form + project requirements
→ Leads forwarded to paying partner companies

Keyword strategy: Extreme topic cluster saturation — for each sport/facility type, 8-15+ articles covering every synonym, question variant, and modifier combination. The padel cluster has 5-6 near-duplicate cost articles with slightly different slugs. Also: DIN standards, funding programs, equipment costs.

Strengths:

  • Domain authority through comprehensiveness — 90+ calculators, 140+ articles across every sports facility type. No German competitor comes close
  • Calculator estimates based on "numerous original offers compiled with specialists" — real data
  • Good internal linking (hub+spoke + calculator conversion nodes)
  • 8 years of organic authority in DE
  • English site has mature directory pSEO with location pages

Weaknesses:

  • Padel is ONE of 20+ sports — they can never go as deep as a padel specialist
  • Multiple near-identical articles for same topic risks cannibalization
  • Root-level blog slugs are messy (sponsored + organic mixed)
  • DE directory is basic (CM Business Directory WordPress plugin)
  • No per-city padel market intelligence, no financial projections, no real-time pricing data

Padel-specific

padel-konzept.de (Germany)

Model: Construction consulting lead-gen — free consultation booking CTA across all pages, partnership with Padel Solution (padelsolution.de / padelsolution.nl, Netherlands-based, 3,000+ courts in 30+ countries). "Zero investment risk" cooperative model. Scale: ~1,800 pages (700 city articles, 1,050 facility directory listings, 70 topic pages, 8 state hub pages). WordPress + Yoast SEO.

Stream Price
Construction consultation booking Free to user (revenue model: likely referral/commission from Padel Solution)
Directory listings Free (very thin — name, address, phone only)

Pricing note: Cost ranges cited across all city pages (outdoor: €44k93k, indoor: €53k100k, pop-up: €18.5k37k) are likely sourced from their exclusive partner Padel Solution NL — not independent market data. Same numbers recycled on every city page regardless of location.

Traffic/leads: Quantity-first pSEO — 600+ city pages targeting "padel + [German city]" keywords. Identical template across all cities (~3,300 words each, 90% generic filler, only 3-5 unique data points per city: population, area, density, land prices, existing courts). 70 topic/pillar pages cover costs, regulations, construction, target groups. State hub pages link to city pages.

pSEO structure:

  • City landing pages (/muenchen/) → full articles (/stadt-muenchen/) — unnecessary two-layer indirection
  • State hubs (/baden-wuerttemberg/) → city grid + directory
  • Topic pillars (/kostenkalkulation/, /bauvorschriften-genehmigungsprozess/)
  • Directory (/verzeichnis/padelcity-muenchen-oez/)

Weaknesses:

  • Obviously AI-generated (formulaic hedging, identical structures), batch-created Dec 2024, no updates since
  • No real per-city data — same cost ranges recycled everywhere (Padel Solution pricing only), no local zoning codes or market analysis
  • Single weak CTA (consultation booking) — no calculator, no PDF, no email capture, no gated content
  • Directory listings are extremely thin (no hours, court counts, pricing, photos)
  • No interactive tools whatsoever
  • Effectively a lead funnel for one court builder dressed up as an independent resource

padelfinder.de (Germany)

Model: Lead-gen for court construction companies (CPL/CPC) + embedded directory licensing. Scale: ~778 indexed pages (641 venue pages, 98 city/state/hub pages, 34 blog posts). 1,357 courts, 350+ locations; +43% MoM organic growth JanSep 2025.

Stream Price
Construction company partner listings Free to start, then CPL/CPC performance packages (not public)
"Padelfinder to Go" iframe embed Licensing fee (not public) — used by DTB (mypadel.de), Rhineland-Palatinate, Lower Saxony
Amazon affiliate (equipment) ~310% commission
Construction lead form (9-step WPForms) Bundled with partner packages

Traffic/leads: Pure SEO — city+state landing pages for padel courts (e.g. /padel-plaetze-in-muenchen/). Association embed partnerships (DTB) multiply reach without paid acquisition. Instagram @padelfinder for consumer awareness.

pSEO structure:

  • 3-tier geographic hierarchy: State → City → Venue
  • State pages (16): /padel-plaetze-in-{state}/ — map, top 5 by rating, full venue list, aggregate stats
  • City pages (~40-50): /padel-plaetze-in-{city}/ — map, top 5 by Google rating, venue list with indoor/outdoor breakdown
  • Venue pages (641): /padelplatz/{venue-slug}/ — ~1,500 words each, real addresses, phone, pricing, booking links, Google ratings, SportsActivityLocation JSON-LD
  • Equipment affiliate pages (~12): /padel-schlaeger-{brand}/
  • Construction lead-gen posts (~8): /wer-baut-mir-einen-{type}-padelplatz/
  • Hub pages: by state, by city, by postal code (PLZ)

Strengths:

  • First-mover: "Deutschlands größtes Padelverzeichnis" — real data with actual addresses, phone numbers, prices, Google ratings
  • Crowdsourced growth via "report a court" CTA on every page
  • Smart monetization: B2B construction lead form (9-step qualification) is the real revenue driver
  • Schema markup on venue pages (SportsActivityLocation)
  • DTB embed partnership (mypadel.de) multiplies reach without paid acquisition

Weaknesses:

  • Inconsistent URL structure: 3 different patterns for same page type (/padel-plaetze-in-, /padel-tennis-spielen-in-, /padel-spielen-in-), duplicate state pages cannibalizing rankings
  • Shortcode leakage in Google title tags: [em_indoor_outdoor_count region="München"] visible in SERPs — damaging technical bug
  • Thin city/state content: only 100-300 words of generic text, no market data or cost analysis
  • Zero financial/business intelligence content — all player-facing, nothing for investors/builders beyond the lead form
  • WordPress/plugin fragility (Events Manager + WPForms + AAWP + Yoast)
  • No email capture on content pages despite having MailPoet installed
  • German only

The Padel Directory (UK)

Model: Multi-stream — player subscriptions + B2B directory listings + shared lead gen + sponsorships + annual convention + affiliate. Scale: 400,000+ users, 1,500+ venues listed.

Pricing (published)

Tier Price Target
Player membership £2.39/month (3090 day free trial) Players
Member Centre £299 + VAT/yr Venues/facilities
Padel Coach £109/yr (currently free first year promo) LTA/BPCA-accredited coaches
Padel Business £299 + VAT/yr Court builders, retailers, media, brands
Sponsorship (Title: Vitality + 16 category partners) Not public Brands
UK Padel Convention exhibitor/tickets Not public (registration of interest only) Industry
Job board listings Not public (email to post) Employers

Lead gen mechanism

"Court Installer Enquiry" form on the construction page (23 suppliers listed). Routing is ambiguous from the public UI — the copy below the form says "submitted to our installers" (plural) but the post-submit success message says "submitted to the company" (singular), suggesting TPD may route/match rather than broadcast. Above the form: "a TPD team member will be in touch to guide you through the process" — implies manual or semi-manual intermediation. No pay-per-lead pricing is visible; leads appear bundled into the £299 listing fee, but exact routing mechanics are not disclosed.

Sponsorship roster

Title: Vitality (health insurer). Category partners (16): Tenzing, Estrella Galicia, Cano Water, Consultiv Utilities, Finset (car finance), Lodders (legal), Risk HQ, Padel TV, Padel Plan, The Padel Architects, No Strings (automation), Racquetsphere International, Boxcey (print), Bakuro Marketing, Arobase Creative, Thornbury Self Storage. Breadth suggests category exclusivity sold per vertical at mid-market rates.

UK Padel Convention

2025: 750+ attendees, 45+ exhibitors. Exhibitor stand fees + tickets + event sponsorship (embedded in TPD partner packages). At modest niche-event stand rates (£5002,000), the expo alone could generate £25K90K/year.

Other streams

  • Affiliate/voucher: Holiday partners (Vibra Travel, Padel Tripper, etc.) and 30+ retail brands use unique discount codes — likely referral commission on redemptions.
  • Court booking (nascent): Direct booking at selected venues; commission model not disclosed.
  • Merchandise: padeldirectory.store — TPD-branded clothing, discounted for members.

What they don't do

  • No tiered venue plans (no "Pro" or analytics upgrade beyond £299 flat)
  • Lead routing mechanism not disclosed (may be matched/manual, not necessarily broadcast)
  • No analytics dashboard for venues
  • No self-serve job/event posting (requires emailing the team)

Estimated revenue ranking

  1. Sponsorships (negotiated, likely highest single source)
  2. UK Padel Convention (exhibitor fees + tickets, annual spike)
  3. B2B directory listings (£299 × N businesses, recurring)
  4. Player memberships (£2.39/mo × player base, volume-dependent)
  5. Affiliate/voucher commissions (passive)
  6. Job board + merchandise (minor)

Traffic/leads: Community-first flywheel — forums, player directory, coach directory, tournament/event listings, holiday packages, job board, weekly giveaways all drive player sign-ups. Players attract venue listings. Venues attract sponsors and court builders. Vitality title sponsorship provides mainstream credibility. Court booking integration (Playtomic/Bookaball) adds utility stickiness.

playtomic.com (Spain/Global) — dominant infrastructure layer

Model: B2B SaaS for clubs + marketplace booking commissions. Scale: €346M gross transaction value (+51% YoY), €29M net revenue, 6,700+ clubs, 4.7M+ players.

Tier Price/month
Standard $59349
Professional $89396
Champion (most popular) $139588
Master $2791,188
Player booking fee 515% per transaction

Traffic/leads: App-first flywheel (more players → more clubs → more data). Acquired GotCourts in 2022 to enter DACH market (300,000 players). Many directory competitors aggregate from Playtomic's booking data.

courtmetrics.io (Europe) — analytics SaaS

Model: B2B SaaS competitive intelligence for padel operators.

Tier Price/month
Professional €79 (up to 3 clubs, 2 seats)
Premium €159 (up to 30 clubs, unlimited seats)
Enterprise Custom

Traffic/leads: SEO + direct outreach to multi-location operators and chains. 14-day free trial, no credit card. Aggregates public booking data (revenue, pricing, availability, Google reputation) on competing clubs. No direct analog exists for the investor/demand side.

padello.de (Germany) — full-service construction advisor

Model: Construction consulting + club management SaaS + e-commerce + affiliate. Scale: ~170-270 pages (26 city finder pages, 100-200+ venue pages, 25-30 magazine articles, service/tool pages). Nuxt.js/Vue.js + Tailwind, headless CMS at content.padello.de.

Stream Price
Court construction advisory (100+ built courts) Not public (consulting fees)
Club management app (app.padello.de) Not public (SaaS)
E-commerce shop (shop.padello.de, Shopify) Rackets, balls, shoes, clothing
Profitability calculator (Rentabilitätsrechner) Free, ungated (lead-gen funnel)
18-step court configurator Free (captures contact at completion)
Webinars ("Start Your Padel Project") Free (email capture — 500+ participants claimed)
Training videos (60+ tutorials) Free (authority building)

Traffic/leads: Multi-stage B2B funnel: SEO → free calculator/training → configurator/webinar → consulting sales. Every page funnels to "Jetzt Padelplatz bauen" CTA. Headed by Christian Böhnke (German national player) for credibility.

pSEO structure:

  • City finder pages (26): /platzfinder/{city} — search UI + dynamically loaded venue list (thin on static content, JS-rendered)
  • Venue pages (100-200+): /courts/{venue-slug} — real address, phone, courts, booking links, variable-length descriptions (50-500 words)
  • Magazine articles (~25-30): /magazin/{slug} — hand-written editorial, NOT programmatic
  • Tool pages: /padel-platzbau/rentabilitaetsrechner, /padel-platzbau/konfigurator, /padel-platzbau/webinar

Rentabilitätsrechner (profitability calculator): Ungated, interactive 3-scenario financial model (club model, court rental, mixed). Inputs: court type, count, investment costs, subsidy %, operating costs. Outputs: payback period, avg annual profit, ROI %, 5-year total, 10-year projection table, cumulative balance graph. Genuinely useful — this is their strongest content asset.

Strengths:

  • Calculator is excellent — comprehensive, ungated, builds trust
  • 18-step configurator is a clever lead qualification mechanism
  • 60+ training videos from a national player add genuine authority
  • Real expertise in construction (100+ courts built)

Weaknesses:

  • NOT a sophisticated pSEO operation — it's a business website with a directory bolted on
  • No sitemap.xml (significant technical SEO gap for 200+ venue pages)
  • Venue page quality wildly inconsistent (some 500 words, others just an address)
  • City pages are thin — JS-rendered search UI, little static content for crawlers
  • Magazine is low volume (~25-30 articles) for a content play
  • No multi-language (German only despite claiming DACH)
  • Nuxt.js SSR may have crawlability issues (some pages returned only CSS)

padelbusinessmagazine.com (UK) — B2B trade newsletter

Model: Substack newsletter advertising + sponsorships targeting padel industry decision-makers.

Stream Price
Free newsletter tier Free
Paid subscriber tier Standard Substack (est. $510/mo)
Thought leadership / sponsor placements Not public

Traffic/leads: Newsletter distribution to padel facility builders and investors. Positioned as "world's only business-focused editorial platform" for the padel industry.

playskan.com (UK) — booking aggregator ("Skyscanner for padel")

Model: Aggregates real-time availability from Playtomic, MATCHi, Padel Mates, Clubspark. Affiliate/referral commissions. FastAPI + DynamoDB + Next.js on AWS. Scale: ~200-400 pages (30-50 city pages, 150-250 venue pages, 10-20 neighborhood pages, 5-8 blog posts). UK-focused with early EU expansion (Amsterdam, Paris).

Stream Price
Booking referral/affiliate commissions Per-click or per-booking (not public)
Potential premium venue listings Not yet visible
Data/analytics for clubs (potential) Not yet visible

Traffic/leads: SEO on city + "padel courts" queries. Blog with booking system comparisons. Currently UK-focused with Amsterdam/Paris pages.

pSEO structure:

  • City landing pages (SEO): /{city} (root-level for max authority) — real data: club count, total courts, indoor/outdoor split, price range, rental availability
  • City booking pages (app): /play-padel/{city} — interactive calendar with real-time availability
  • Neighborhood pages: /{city}/{area} (e.g. /london/hackney) — nearby clubs + price range
  • Venue pages: /clubs/{city}/{club-slug} — court count, pricing, amenities list, booking platform source, real-time calendar
  • Club directory: /clubs

Data per venue page: club name, city, court count (indoor/outdoor), price range (actual booking data), amenities (cafeteria, parking, Wi-Fi, etc.), booking platform source, real-time availability calendar, descriptive blurb.

Strengths:

  • Real-time data differentiation — actual availability + pricing from booking platforms, updated frequently
  • Clean URL structure optimized for SEO (city names at root level)
  • Genuine utility: "no logins, no switching tabs" value prop
  • Blog content is thoughtful (technical "how we built it" posts)
  • Smart separation of SEO pages (/{city}) from app pages (/play-padel/{city})

Weaknesses:

  • Editorially thin — city pages are mostly data + listings, no narrative about padel scene
  • No rich structured data / FAQ schema visible
  • No email capture or lead magnet
  • No multi-language despite EU expansion pages
  • Small city pages (Lytham: 2 clubs) have very little content to rank
  • Not a direct competitor to Padelnomics (targets players, not investors/builders)

padelcourtsfinder.com (US)

Model: Early-stage US padel court directory (120+ clubs, 525+ courts). "List Your Court" present — monetization not yet active. Traffic/leads: SEO-first content play targeting US padel searchers.

padelonomics.com (France) — ⚠️ near-identical brand name

Model: French padel economics/data consulting site. Free market data content → funnel to paid consulting (feasibility studies, business plans, specialized accounting). Run by Romain Taupin (economist, padel instructor, consultant since 2014) and Pierre-Emmanuel Hinard (certified accountant). Claims to be "the only accounting firm entirely dedicated to padel club clients across France." Scale: ~100+ pages (96 department pSEO pages + data hub + directory + services). Primarily French (one English "Racket Sports Analysis" section for cross-country comparisons). Two domains: .com + .fr. Built on no-code platform (Google Sites or Wix). Claims 80,000 unique visitors, 21,000 social media followers (~4,266 on Instagram).

Site structure:

  • "Les Chiffres du Padel" (data hub): annual reports (Bilan 2022/2023/2024), European stats, franchise comparisons (22% of private courts held by 5 franchises), maps (Infogram), business plan guidance, 140-page proprietary market study. Key stats: 3,000+ courts in France (814 built in 2024), 200k licensed players, 750k total practitioners, 87% male competitors
  • Department pSEO pages (~96): /les-chiffres-du-padel/le-padel-par-region/{region}/{dept-number}-{dept-name}-les-chiffres-du-padel — templated pages with per-department club listings, market maturity analysis, population/competition metrics, viability conclusions. Appears manually curated on Google Sites rather than auto-generated.
  • "Annuaire du Padel" (directory): booking software (Playtomic, PadelNow), training programs, business networks — no monetization visible
  • "Nos Services": paid consulting — market studies, business plan creation, specialized padel accounting
  • "Votre Niveau de Padel": video-based self-assessment tool using official French level grid
  • "Créer un Club de Padel": guide for aspiring club owners (minimum 6 courts recommended)

Monetization: Pure consulting revenue (no SaaS, no ads, no lead marketplace). Market studies, custom business plans, accounting services — all quote-based, no public pricing. The entire site is a lead-gen funnel for offline consulting.

pSEO approach: Department-level templated pages (similar concept to our city pages but coarser granularity — 96 departments vs hundreds of cities). Data includes court counts, club references, racquet sport comparisons, population metrics. Limited by Google Sites platform — no custom meta tags, schema markup, or server-side rendering control.

Strengths:

  • Strong niche authority — regularly cited by Padel Magazine (FR+EN editions), backlinked by industry sites
  • Only specialized padel accounting firm in France — defensible niche
  • 140-page proprietary market study is a unique data asset
  • Department pages provide genuine local market intelligence for France

Weaknesses:

  • French-only — no international presence despite covering European data
  • Google Sites platform severely limits SEO sophistication and scalability
  • No self-serve tools (financial planner, calculator) — business plans are consulting deliverables, not products
  • No supplier marketplace or lead system — pure consulting funnel
  • Department-level granularity too coarse for city-specific decisions
  • Manual content production can't scale beyond France

Why it matters: Nearly identical name to Padelnomics. Validates the "padel economics data site" concept for attracting aspiring club owners. Different market (FR vs DE/EN), different business model (consulting vs SaaS), but if they ever expand internationally → direct brand confusion. Key gap they leave open: no self-serve financial tools, no scalable pSEO infrastructure, no supplier marketplace.

padelplatz-kosten.de (Germany) — exact-match domain, SEO network property

Model: Free padel court cost configurator → lead handoff to Padel Solution. Operated by Ramon Tissler / Robin GmbH (Wiesbaden) — SEO veteran with 200+ company-owned lead-gen websites across niches. Scale: Micro-site — only 2 indexed pages (homepage calculator + about page). No blog, no city pages, no content hub.

Calculator inputs: Court type (standard → full panoramic), glass thickness, artificial turf type, lighting config, foundation/excavation work, roofing, noise protection. Output: €45,000110,000+ per court range.

Lead capture: Opt-in checkbox after calculator → forwards configuration to Padel Solution (verkauf@padelsolution.de) → quote within 24 hours. Single-CTA funnel, no email nurture.

Padel Solution connection: Openly disclosed as "cooperation partner." Calculator framed as "independent" with "real market data from European manufacturers" — but it's a dedicated lead-gen property for one supplier. Same partner as padel-konzept.de (that's now 3 sites funneling leads to Padel Solution: padel-konzept.de, padelplatz-kosten.de, and padelsolution.de itself).

SEO position: Ranks ~#4 for "padelplatz kosten rechner" behind sportstaettenrechner.de. Exact-match domain still carries some weight in DE, but 2 pages can't build topical authority.

Weaknesses: No content moat — trivially replicable. No city/regional content. Construction cost only (no revenue/profitability modeling). If Padel Solution stops paying, the site has no independent value.

padel-court.de (Germany) — manual broker operation

Model: Lead-gen broker. Collects inquiries → manually compares offers from Spanish construction partners → presents options → acts as intermediary throughout project. Operated by Thomas Dzuban / Real Padel GmbH (Berlin, previously Graz). Scale: ~8 content pages + 4 legal pages. Extremely small.

Content (hand-written, NOT programmatic):

  • Annual "Padel Courts in Europa" statistics series (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) — country-by-country breakdowns, genuinely useful market data. Their best content asset.
  • Revenue/earnings article with specific numbers (€27k-32k per court, €224k gross for 4 outdoor courts)
  • Court components educational page
  • General market overview

Lead capture: Simple contact form ("Unverbindlich anfragen"). No calculator, no directory, no comparison tool. Entirely manual broker process — no automation visible.

Strengths: Annual European statistics posts are genuinely valuable, likely earn backlinks. Specific revenue numbers build credibility. Exact-match domain.

Weaknesses: One-person broker operation. No interactive tools, no city-level content, no programmatic SEO, no email nurture. Only 8 content pages after 4+ years — not scaling. Spanish builders only (no German supplier options). Not a serious competitive threat at scale.

padelcreations.com (Spain/International) — manufacturer with deep B2B content hub

Model: Spanish padel court manufacturer (DACH-active, ISO 9001 certified) with the most comprehensive B2B content hub in the padel space. Combines court sales with business intelligence content as lead generation. Scale: ~40-60 indexed content pages (WordPress). English-only. Installs worldwide (UK, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary). Content regularly updated to current year.

B2B content hub (full buyer-journey architecture):

  • Business planning: Business plan pillar page (claims 40-45% first-year occupancy, break-even <24 months for 4-court club), step-by-step guide, free business plan template (email-gated), strategic pricing management, "who invests in padel" (5 buyer personas)
  • Financial tools: Profit calculator (inputs: operating hours, rental price, occupancy rate, court count, currency; outputs: daily/monthly/annual turnover, EBT, ROI — revenue-only, no CapEx/multi-year), cost configuration tool
  • Revenue optimization: Income sources for padel centers, making money with padel, additional services guide (cafe/bar, tournaments, events), customer experience positioning
  • Operations: Floor planner/configurator ("world's first online padel planning tool" — drag-and-drop), warehouse-to-club conversion guide, foundation systems comparison, hall requirements for indoor
  • Market data: Global Padel Report, Spain scene data (3.5M+ players, 14K+ courts), worldwide expansion narrative, year-refreshed investment thesis ("Padel Courts 2026: Best Investment Decision")
  • Segment-specific landing pages: Sports facilities, hospitality industry, corporate team-building, sponsoring padel, padel vs tennis for tennis clubs — each speaks to a distinct buyer type
  • Marketing: Padel Marketing Tool Box (exclusive to Padelcreations customers — post-sale retention)
  • Technical: Lighting standards, structural strength, court safety/design, flooring options

Lead funnel:

  1. SEO content attracts → 2. Profit calculator engages → 3. Free business plan template captures email → 4. Sales team follows up → 5. Floor planner deepens engagement → 6. Purchase → 7. Marketing toolbox retains

Keyword targeting: Full buyer journey — awareness ("padel vs tennis", "global padel report"), consideration ("business plan for padel", "padel court profitability", "income sources padel center"), decision ("padel court configuration price", "padel floor planner", product model pages)

Strengths:

  • Deepest B2B content of any padel manufacturer — goes far beyond "buy our courts"
  • Interactive tools (profit calculator, floor planner) as engagement hooks
  • Segment-specific landing pages for different buyer types (hospitality, corporate, sports clubs)
  • Email-gated business plan is a strong lead magnet
  • Year-refreshed investment thesis content
  • Post-sale content (marketing toolbox) for customer retention
  • ISO 9001 certification adds credibility

Weaknesses:

  • Manufacturer-biased — every piece ultimately funnels to "buy Padelcreations courts"
  • Profit calculator is shallow — revenue-only, no CapEx, financing, multi-year projections, or scenario comparison
  • No city-level or market-specific data, no programmatic content at all
  • No multi-language pSEO (English-only, some awkward non-native phrasing)
  • No real market data (Playtomic pricing, demographics) — generic industry numbers only
  • No transparent pricing — everything funnels to "contact us"

padelcourtsnearme.us / padelmapusa.com (US) — programmatic directories

Model: US padel court directories with state → city programmatic pages (215+ courts / 30 states). pSEO: Classic /{state}/{city} hierarchy. Player-facing today, but could pivot to B2B. Why they matter: If they add cost data per city, they become direct US competitors.

reformsports.com / wepadel.com (Turkey) — manufacturer content marketing

Model: Turkish court manufacturers using English-language content to capture international construction leads. Multi-sport (Reform also covers tennis/basketball). Language subdomains: en.reformsports.com, fr.reformsports.com (no German). Scale: ~15-20 padel articles each + tennis/basketball content.

Reform Sports content clusters:

  • Cost/financial: "Padel Court Construction Costs 2026" ($39.8k-$45.3k range), construction cost features breakdown
  • Profitability: "Is Padel Court Management Profitable?", "Is It Worth Building a Padel Court?"
  • Technical guides: construction process, flooring, dimensions, indoor vs outdoor comparison tables
  • Evergreen URL strategy: Single /cost-of-building-a-padel-tennis-court/ URL, year updated in <title> only — preserves link equity

WePadel — opposite URL strategy:

  • Publishes separate yearly URLs: /blog/2023-padel-court-construction-cost, /blog/2024-..., /blog/2025-...
  • Fragments link equity but targets year-specific queries
  • More granular pricing: per-component ranges (glass: €100-150/sqm, LED: €5k-7k, turf: €15-25/sqm)
  • US market targeting: "Best Padel Clubs in USA" article

CTAs: "Get a Quick Quote" form → sales team follow-up. Classic manufacturer lead funnel.

Strengths: Technical specificity (exact measurements, material specs), annually-updated freshness signals, commercial-intent keyword targeting ("is it worth building", "is it profitable").

Weaknesses: No localization (no German content), no interactive tools, no city-level data, static editorial only, manufacturer-biased (every article → "buy from us"), content reads like translated Turkish. Generic global pricing — not market-specific.

dojobusiness.com (International) — high-authority business plan platform

Model: General business plan platform (Shopify, 250+ verticals) with deep padel cluster. Freemium: free articles → paid templates (business plan .ppt/.pdf, 3-year financial plan Excel). "80% pre-written" templates with padel-specific data. Scale: 20+ padel-specific articles + 2 paid products. Massive keyword saturation.

Padel content cluster:

  • Business planning: business plan sample (free), business model canvas, SWOT analysis, competition study, complete guide
  • Financial: 3-year financial plan, startup costs ($50k-$500k+), monthly operating expenses ($15k-$30k for 4-6 courts), construction costs ($20k-$40k/court)
  • Profitability: daily booking requirements, optimal court count for revenue, break-even at 35-45% occupancy, payback 2-4 years
  • Revenue: tournament income, rental rates, membership pricing, revenue mix (50-60% bookings, 20-30% memberships, 10-15% coaching)
  • Marketing: marketing plan, sample project presentation
  • Market: padel market growth trends (30M+ players, 63k+ courts globally)

Keyword strategy: Aggressive long-tail saturation — 6 near-identical "how much does a padel court cost" articles with slight phrasing variants (build/make/open, court/center/club). Trying to own every possible query phrasing.

Monetization: Free articles (SEO bait) → internal links → product pages → buy template ($29-99 est.) → optional "free review" upsell/lead capture.

Strengths: Extremely comprehensive topic coverage with consistent, credible financial numbers. Strong internal linking. Regular updates. High domain authority from 250+ business verticals.

Weaknesses: No localization (USD only, no country-specific data). Template-based content — replace "padel" with "yoga studio" and framework is identical. No interactive tools/calculators. No city-level data. No supplier marketplace. Generic geographic advice. AI-generated or heavily templatized.

Gaps / white spaces

  • No one owns "padel construction demand calculator + lead routing" in DACH cleanly — Padelfinder.de does it but opaquely
  • Sportstaettenrechner.de is under-monetized relative to its SportsVenueCalculator.com analog
  • CourtMetrics.io does analytics for club operators; nobody does it for the investor/demand side
  • No NIRSA-style buyers guide exists specifically for padel/racket sports construction
  • The Padel Directory (UK) is the most mature directory-with-subscription model in Europe; Padelfinder.de has higher traffic but less monetization sophistication
